Hi, my name is Rose, and I am currently a stay-at-home mum, or at least I am while I'm on maternity leave. My job is a huge drive away from home and I'm exploring lots of other exciting avenues of work, and in the meantime, setting up my own blog will give me some degree of relief from the current role of raising my babies with my husband. We have two little boys, 'O' who is 21/2 and ever inquisitive. He's just turned into a faddy eater, which is something that really stresses me out. I hate cooking food for it to be wasted, not even tried, let alone enjoyed. I would describe 'O' as having been a terrible baby, the first 4 months of his life, were part of the worst 8 months of mine. I blame his colickyness, and utter anger at being born, on my brother dying while I was pregnant. I am thankful that after 4 months we turned a corner and he became the smiling little bundle of joy that he is now. 'O' is, in general, a good boy. I am also mummy to 'H'. At just over 5 months, he is hugely different to his big brother. He's always been a gloriously big baby, lots of rolls, so much calmer and generally happier earlier on. Only time will tell whether he'll turn into a terror! 'H' is teething at the moment, and we're currently trying the baby-led-weaning (BLW) approach with him.
I'm currently trying to lose weight with Weight Watchers, I love their app, makes adding my points so easy, and once I'd gotten over the smaller portion sizes, it makes dieting less hard! I'll also confess that I suffer with Trichotillomania, have done for over 15 years, I hate it, but can't stop.
I miss my brother every day, he died on holiday in Vietnam on August 26th 2010, he was 22. The worst ever time of my life was saying goodbye. I have a sister, and I'm thankful that I have someone who understands everything.
I love cooking, trying new recipes and sometimes creating my own, and I love making things for the home, and once, when I had more time on my hands, I used to enjoy painting, so maybe I'll get back to that too.
